Members of the team learn about the important work of the school and offer insight and feedback. For more information, visit the Adams 12 SAC Handbook.

Student ID Required to Board Bus
Student IDs are required for every high school student for every ride as school bus passes are incorporated into the student ID. Since all students are required to scan their bus pass for each ride, students without a student ID will not be allowed on the bus.
If students have lost their ID, they may visit Student Relations for a replacement ID. Students are given one free ID and allowed 2 free replacements for lost IDs. Subsequent replacements are $5. Fines are added to student accounts automatically.
Helpful Attendance Reminders
- Attendance calls go out twice a day: 10:30am and 4:30pm. If you call out your student prior to 10:30, please be aware you may still receive the 10:30am call if we haven't not had the chance to reach your original message in the queue. If you also receive a message at 4:30pm, please call and leave another message.
- If you know in advance that your student will be missing school, please have your student pick up a Request for Pre-Arranged Absence form from the Main Office or Student Relations.
- Attendance mistakes do happen, and if it happens to your student, please call the attendance line at 720-972-6313. They will walk you through the process for your student to get attendance corrected.
Student ID Cards
As per District Policy 5060.5.0 "All middle and high school students are required to carry on their person an unaltered school issued photo identification card (ID) during school hours, or at such times, locations, and activities specifically identified by the building principal; provided however, that the building principal shall have the discretion to impose a stricter requirement regarding student wearing of school issued photo ID cards based upon safety and/or related concerns."
For Mountain Range, your MINGA Id is also acceptable if it shown on your Chromebook or via the MINGA app. In an effort to keep our campus safe, we will be checking ID's on a more frequent basis to ensure students are where they are supposed to be. Thank you.

Reminders on the District’s Attendance Policy
Here are a few helpful reminders on the District’s Attendance Policy:
Absences need to be excused within 2 school days. This does not count the weekend.
Students may be excused for 5 days without a doctor's documentation. This includes vacations, “no reason given”, mental health day, family reasons, weather, and road conditions, along with other reasons. This year, the district has made an exception to allow absences for covid related symptoms. They do ask students to stay home if they are not feeling well. Therefore, these absences will be excused.
Remember that any time your student has a doctor’s appointment of any kind, have the doctor give them a note to excuse that absence. Have your student bring that note to the attendance clerk in Student Relations when they return to school.
Anytime you know in advance that your student will not be in attendance for 3 days or more, there is a “Request for Pre-arranged Absence” form. This may be picked up in Student Relations or the main office. This form is to be filled out by a guardian and signed. It is then taken around to all the teachers to sign and given to the main office staff. This form is then approved by an Assistant Principal and entered into Infinite Campus. These absences do not count toward the 5 days allowed without a doctor note.
To get your student out early, the call must be made to the early release line prior to 2:30 pm. We will not be able to get a student out of class for walk-up parents/guardians past 2:45 pm.
Call our attendance line at 720-972-6400 to leave a message 24 hours a day.
