Raptor Center Visits Snail Lake Kindergarten
On Friday, May 16, kindergarten classrooms will visit the library for a 30 minute presentation by the Minnesota Raptor Center. During the presentation our students will discover what a raptor is, how to best protect them in the wild, and will meet 3 live birds! A reason we learn about raptors is because as top-of-the-food-chain predators, raptors are our lens into the health of our shared environment! You can learn more at: https://raptor.umn.edu/
Do you like pizza and want to help our school? Then join us the Wednesday, May 7 from 4:00-8:00pm, and eat dinner (or even buy a gift card) at Davanni’s in Arden Hills! A generous 20% of net orders will be donated to the Snail Lake PTA when you mention this fundraiser! (This does not apply to delivered orders.) Come eat pizza with your friends and family while also supporting our school!
Turtle Lake Future First-Grader Open House
Turtle Lake Elementary School invites all Future Turtle Lake first-graders to an Open House on Wednesday, May 14th. The event is from 4:30 - 5:30pm.
Staff Appreciation Week
During the week of May 5-9, Mounds View Public Schools will recognize all staff during Staff Appreciation Week. Each day during that week, you'll see an employee group spotlighted on our social media pages. Help us send notes of appreciation to our Mounds View Public Schools staff. Last year, more than 3,200 cards were sent to our hardworking staff members! Visit mvpschools.org/thankyou for more information and to create your custom e-card.

Medications in the Health Office
The end of the school year is fast approaching. If your student has medications in the Health Office (daily medications, inhalers, EpiPens, etc.), please make arrangements with the Health Office at 651-621-8004 or elizabethf.johnson@moundsviewschools.org to collect them by the end of the day on Thursday, June 5th. Medications that are not picked up will be sent home on the last day of school in the backpack. Any medication remaining in the Health Office after June 5th, the last day of school, will be properly disposed of.
Author Visit - Book Distribution
Our students had a great time this week talking with local author Wes Erwin. Book orders have been delivered. If you ordered a copy using Venmo, but haven’t yet received it, please contact your teacher or the school library at krispen.lam@mvpschools.org.
