Resource of the Month
Library
The Science Hill Library, located between the Main Office and Grand Topper Hall, is an amazing resource for students. Beyond having access to hundreds of books and checking out needed class materials (i.e. textbooks, calculators, and Chromebooks), the library provides many other opportunities to get involved with and enhance their learning.
The large space is equipped with different areas that allow for different options for learning. The more open section is able to hold up to three full classes and this space allows for teachers and the library team to collaborate on lessons and workshops such as research and data base collections. The conference room is available for meetings and study sessions. The seating areas that can be found throughout the library are also excellent study and reading spots that students can use during their lunch.
Other resources that can found here are:
- Topper Tech Team: Our Topper Tech Team is available during each class period where students are able to get help with any Chromebook issues that may come up.
- IDs: Students can get replacement permanent IDs (only during lunch)
- Technology: Use library technology such as laminators and databases to aid in projects and school work.
- Book Tastings: Where students can get personalized summaries of books that they may like before checking them out to both expand on their reading selections and narrow down their literature likes and dislikes along the way!
- And so much more, the possibilities are endless!
The library is open from 7:15AM - 3:15PM and run by our Library Media Specialist Mrs. Anne Timbs and our Librarian Assistant Mrs. Maria Hale. For more information about our library and the services and opportunities, please check out the website here.
