Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe, but this week marked the midterm of our 1st quarter! You should have received your child's midterm progress report either in their Tuesday Express (K-6) or in the mail for 7th/8th grade students.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up the week of September 30th.

K-5 students will NOT have school on September 30th as teacher's prepare student work for the conferences.

6th-8th grade students will have a normal school schedule on September 30th.

Conferences will be held on the evenings of Monday, September 30 and Thursday, October 3, from 4:00-7:30pm. This is a great time to also visit the Scholastic Book Fair.

Attention middle school parents:

Things are running smoothly, but we are finding we need to remind middle school students and their families of the procedures around tardies and student time out of the classroom.

1. There has been a large increase in the number of students that are tardy between class periods. Please remember that 4 tardies equals once absence in a class. Please speak with your child about making sure they are not taking an excessive amount of time to transition between classes. Students that have 4 tardies in a week will be given lunch detention at the next lunch period.
2. 7th/8th grade students have multiple transitions during the day to get class materials out of their lockers and use the restroom. Additionally students have 7 hall passes they may use per week for trips to their locker or restroom. Please help remind your students to manage their personal needs so they are not missing important class time.

It takes a team to run our middle school sports programs. Mrs. Savory, our Athletic Director, needs people to help run our home games for volleyball, football, and basketball. We are looking for referees, clock workers, line judges, and sports book keepers. Some of these opportunities are paid! Please call the school and speak with Mrs. Savory if you, or someone you know, is available to help keep our sports programs running smoothly.

Parents, our PPO organizes a snack for school staff every Friday. Parents sign up and bring in treats for roughly 40 staff members on Friday mornings. Please offer to help by signing up for one of the available Fridays at this link:
