Proposed 2025-2026 Middle School Attendance Boundaries
Prosper ISD Families:
Prosper ISD's rapid expansion—3,400 new students joined last year alone—presents an exciting chance to develop exceptional new learning environments for our teachers and students.
As we look to open 4 new campuses in Fall 2025, we are beginning our attendance boundary process. Here is what to expect:
ATTENDANCE BOUNDARY PROCESS
October 21, 2024 — An informational presentation on proposed attendance boundary changes is made to the Board.

Attendance Boundary Meeting / Feedback
The Board of Trustees wants to hear your feedback. We will hold a meeting at Rushing Middle School on October 30, 2024, from 6-7 pm. You will be able to hear a detailed presentation of the current attendance boundary recommendation and then speak individually with Board members and District leadership.
You may also fill out our feedback form. Every comment will be reviewed by District administration and members of the Board of Trustees.
Background
In 2016, there were no schools west of the Dallas North Tollway. In Fall 2025, the district will have ten campuses on the western side–seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. This means that in the fastest-growing district in North Texas, the west side is the fastest-growing portion of Prosper ISD.
Fall 2025 New Campuses
In Fall 2025, the district will open its fourth high school, sixth middle school, and 19th and 20th elementary schools. These additional campuses will provide enrollment relief for multiple campuses and additional capacity for the expected 3,000 students who will move into our district this year.
Fall 2026 New Campuses
In Fall 2026, middle schools 7 and 8 will open, in addition to the new elementary school located behind the existing Rucker Elementary.
Current Enrollment/Projected Enrollment
Currently, there are nearly 1,800 students at Reynolds and nearly 1,600 at Rushing. Without Moseley Middle School, enrollment projections for next year are 2,050 students at Reynolds and 1,850 students at Rushing.
What this means today
As our district grows and we excitedly plan for new campuses, we understand that we must also address the challenging but necessary process of adjusting attendance boundaries. We recognize that this can be a sensitive topic for many families, and we want to assure you that we approach this task with great care and consideration.
PROPOSED MIDDLE SCHOOL CHANGES
This is the current recommendation, based on the fact that two middle schools will open in two years on the western side of the district.
WH Moseley Middle School (2025)
The 6th middle school will open with approximately 1,400 students on the district's west side at Teel Parkway and Parvin Road and will relieve overcrowding at Rushing and Reynolds Middle Schools.
This area encompasses the attendance zones for Christie Elementary, Hall Elementary, Smothermon Elementary (2025), part of Thomson Elementary (2025), and part of the Bryant Elementary attendance zone.
Reynolds Middle School
This area encompasses the attendance zones of Rucker Elementary, Light Farms Elementary, Boyer Elementary, part of Thomson Elementary, and part of Lilyana Elementary. It is east of the Dallas North Tollway (DNT), west of Preston Road until Prosper Trail, and then west of Coit Road. It is north of 380 until the district boundaries.
Rushing Middle School
This will encompass the attendance zones for Windsong Ranch and Stuber elementary schools and part of the Bryant Elementary attendance zone.
North of 380, the westernmost boundary of the district until First St, North of First until Pepper Grass Ln, including all of Artesia, South of First, and West of DNT.

Opportunities During Change
While change can be difficult, we also see this as a unique opportunity for growth and new beginnings. Our students and teachers have the chance to become pioneers, shaping the culture and traditions of our new campuses from day one. Together, we can create vibrant learning communities that embody our cherished motto: Excellence Every Day in Every Way.
We're committed to supporting all our families through this transition, ensuring that every student receives the high-quality education and nurturing environment they deserve, regardless of which campus they attend. Your child's well-being and success remain our top priority as we navigate this period of change and expansion.
We want your Feedback!
Attendance boundary changes are a yearly occurrence in a fast-growth school district. We take great effort to make decisions that impact as few students as possible while effectively addressing the evolving needs of the school community.
