Transportation Passes will be Coming Home!
Youth in grades TK through 12th can enjoy more freedom this summer to get to summer jobs, shopping centers, restaurants and more by taking advantage of SacRT’s RydeFreeRT, the fare-free transit program for students/youth.
New RydeFreeRT cards with a valid date of June 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, are now available for students/youth to ride the entire SacRT transit network, including SacRT buses, light rail, and SmaRT Ride on-demand microtransit service for FREE!
RydeFreeRT is available all day, any day of the week during regular SacRT service hours.
Passes will be sent home with students next week!
Important Information
6th Grade Promotion
Our 6th grade promotion ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 9:30 in the school cafeteria. The doors will not open for seating until 9:15, so please do not come on campus to wait before 9:15! We need to get all students fed and to class before we have extra people on campus. Please try and limit the number of people attending to 5 people. If the 6th grader has immediate family that is more than 5, we understand, but please do not invite all of your relatives! We won't have space for that many people!
Last Day!
The last day for students is Thursday, June 13! It is an early release day. Kindergarten will be dismissed at the regular time (12:20), primary will be dismissed at 1:15 and intermediate will be dismissed at 1:19. Please be prompt to pick up your students!
Extreme Heat
We are doing our best to keep students cool during these last few days of school. If the temperature reaches triple digits, we are canceling outdoor recesses or shortening them. Please send your child/children with water to help keep them cool.
Reading and IXL
Please encourage your child/children to continue to read daily at home over the summer. This is the best way to keep their reading skills sharp. Also, students should still have access to IXL (in Clever) over the summer. Encourage them to do lessons in both Math and ELA to keep those skills sharp as well! A little work now will pay off in August!
First Day of School
As a reminder, school begins on Monday, August 19. We begin school promptly at 9:00. Please know we will send more information about welcome activities as the summer comes to an end.
