Board Meeting Highlights - 12/19/24

The Flemington-Raritan Regional Board of Education held a regular meeting on December 19, 2024. Below is a recap of the meeting:

All motions were approved with the exception of Operations/Transportation Item C.9. (which was tabled and is anticipated to appear on the January 6 reorganization meeting agenda): Agenda and Addendum.

Dr. McGann presented 2025-2026 budget updates including information about a Special Election Question.

The Board acknowledged outgoing Board of Education Members -- Board President Michelle Hurley and Laurie Markowski, who was honored for her 20 years of service on the Board.

The Board adopted the following revised policies and regulations:

P 3450 - Staff Recognition
P 4450 - Staff Recognition
R 5200 - Attendance (M)
R 7610 - Vandalism
P 9181 - Volunteer Athletic Coaches and Co-Curricular Activity Advisors/Assistants

The Board abolished the following policies:

P 3122 - Affirmative Action Program for Employment and Contract Practices
P 4122 - Affirmative Action

Next Meeting - January 6, 2025

The next regular meeting of the Board will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025. This is the Board's annual reorganization meeting. New board members will be sworn into office and the 2025 Board schedule will be confirmed.
