VFW Donates Flags to Suamico Elementary
Principal Ryan Welnetz asked the VFW Duck Creek Post 7534 if they would donate 40 new flags for the classrooms at Suamico. They graciously agreed, and visited the school to deliver the flags and teach students about flag etiquette. Our students were so respectful of our Veterans, and had very thoughtful questions about the proper way to treat the American flag. We are grateful for this partnership!
Alec Ingold, Bay Port 2015
From Alec's newsletter: This Thanksgiving, we played in my hometown of Green Bay, WI. I am honored to have been featured during the NBC halftime show. I am thankful for all my family and friends who helped get me to where I am today, and for coming to the game, making the holiday even more special! You can watch the feature here.
Alec has been nominated once again for the 2024 Miami Dolphins Walter Payton Man of the Year Award! Vote here.
HSSD Stronger Together
Thank you, Howard-Suamico community! Last week, we came together for our Stronger Together event, and the energy, collaboration, and shared purpose were incredible. This gathering highlighted the strength of our community partnerships, the support for our educators, and the bright future we’re building for our students.
Together, we explored essential skills for our students in an ever changing world, personalized learning, career readiness, the need for adequate funding, mental health, and much more. We’re so grateful for everyone who participated and supported this engagement session. Your voice and commitment inspire us to keep striving for excellence!
Thank you for supporting HSSD students, staff and schools!
As the year comes to a close, we are especially grateful for you - our alumni, community partners and supporters - for caring so deeply about the students, educators, and public schools in Howard-Suamico!
As you and your family make year-end giving decisions, consider supporting students, educators, and schools in the Howard-Suamico School District with a tax-deductible donation. Thank you!
