🍕 Pflugerville ISD Food Services Offers Free Summer Meals for Children
Pflugerville ISD and Aramark Food Services are proud to offer open community lunch to children this summer through the USDA summer meals program. Summer is an exciting time for children to enjoy playtime with friends, a week at camp, a family vacation, or time at the pool. However, for many children who receive free and reduced-price meals at school, summer can mean hunger. Just as learning doesn’t end when school lets out, neither does a child’s need for good nutrition.
This summer, Aramark Food Services will be providing free lunch meals to children at select Pflugerville ISD campuses. Any child under age 18 may come and eat and kids do not need to register (or be registered in a summer school program) or show proof of age, income, or residence to do so. Visitors are asked to sign in at each school’s front office or Extended Day Program check-in desk for security reasons.

💻 Chromebook Device Sale or Return Information
PfISD will be providing the opportunity for students to purchase their Chromebooks. Our existing Chromebooks have been in use for 4 years and are scheduled for replacement this summer as part of our 2022 Bond Technology replacement plan.
Students who currently have a Chromebook device assigned to them, and would like to keep their current device for personal use, will have the opportunity to purchase it for $20.00. The purchase includes their current Chromebook and their current charger. The device purchase is “as is”, in its current state, and does not include repairs or replacement of any damage, missing parts, or missing chargers. Once the device is purchased, it will no longer be supported by PfISD. The device will be returned to its factory settings at the end of the school year and no longer managed by the district.
The purchasing window is scheduled to open on May 13th and will remain open through May 24th. Payments can be made via RevTrak which can be accessed at https://pflugervilleisd.revtrak.net/
Please check with your student’s campus for specific sale dates and alternate payment methods.
All students will be required to bring their device to school in order to update inventory as either sold or returned.
Now is a good time to check with your student to ensure they have their device. Students not purchasing their device will be required to return their Chromebooks and chargers at the end of this school year.
Please watch for additional communication via this newsletter from your campus and for emails from communications@pfisd.net with detailed information regarding the sale and collection process and timelines.

In a world where linguistic diversity is increasingly valued, my gratitude for my son's dual language kindergarten teacher knows no bounds. With unwavering dedication, she fosters not just literacy but cultural understanding, seamlessly weaving two languages into every lesson. Beyond the curriculum, she cultivates a nurturing environment where my son feels empowered. Her patience and passion illuminate each classroom interaction, instilling a love for language that transcends mere words. Through her tireless efforts, she doesn't just teach; she inspires, igniting a curiosity that stretches far beyond the confines of the classroom walls.
