Mrs. Lanette Rose was selected as the Cascade Middle School staff member of the year! Mrs. Rose really stepped up to help the staff and students of CMS this year and filled in during the day custodial shift while Mr. Rudd was out healing up from knee surgery. Mrs. Rose went above and beyond for us and kept our building clean and safe!

Mr. Winters was selected as the Cascade Middle School teacher of the year! In addition to his selection as the CMS teacher of the year, he was also chosen by the Mill Creek Optimist Club as the Mill Creek Community School Corporation Teacher of the Year! He will now compete with teachers from across the state for state teacher of the year honors. Mr. Winters works tirelessly to create unique learning experiences for his students each year. He continues to grow and develop his craft.

Summer Food Service Program

On Thursday 4/18, the CMS staff met with parent of incoming 6th and 8th graders to discuss various topics. Below are the presentations delivered to parents on that date.

Wednesday, July 31st

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Cascade Middle School

All incoming 6th graders and new students (no parents or non middle school siblings) are encouraged to attend this event. They will have an opportunity to meet their teachers, meet new friends, learn their schedules, practice using their lockers, and participate in activities to get them acquainted with the facility and our rules and procedures. A free pizza lunch will be provided for all students! Call (317) 539-9285 ext 611 with any questions. After students are finished families can walk to the Cadet Center to pick up Chromebooks for the new school year!

We will be holding our first call out meeting for the 2020 Washington D.C. Trip on Wednesday, May 22nd at 5:30 p.m. in Mr. Neilson’s room. This trip is open to all students currently in the 6th or 7th grade. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about the trip and answers any questions you may have. If you cannot attend this meeting there will be another call out meeting early next fall. This is an unforgettable experience for the students so we hope to see you all at the call out meeting. 8th graders and 8th grade parents - Mark your calendars! Cadet Kickoff (freshman orientation) will be Thursday, July 25 from 4-8pm. There will be a parent/guardian meeting from 7-8pm the same night. Look for the registration form in your final mailing from the middle school in early June. We look forward to 100% attendance!
