Welcome Back & New Staff
Welcome Back
I hope you had a break full of everything you hoped it would be! With school back in session that can be a challenge to get back to routine. Sticking with bedtime and predictable patterns for your child's day will be helpful as he/she transitions back to the regularity of school and sleep cycles! In January, we begin our mid-year testing. Having your child to school ON TIME, WELL-RESTED, (we can cover the breakfast part!) with a positive send off from home, will help him/her do the very best he/she can on the assessments this month!
Along with welcoming you all back for a fantastic second half of the year and a magnificent 2025, we at NOE, are welcoming some new staff members and staff members new to some roles.
When you call or stop in to the office, you may speak to Mrs. Jackie Krantz, our new NOE Secretary and Mrs. Kaylee Hickey will be taking over the media center and running our library.
You may also see Ms. Deanna Kirby, Mrs. Haley Fox and Mr. Andrew Tippery at the school. They are all joining the staff in the role of instructional assistants.
Together, we can make January joyful!

Helpful Reminders
Helpful Reminders
Drop Off
Please be sure your child remains IN THE CAR until the drop off doors open at 7:35 am each morning. With the mornings darker, it is even more important to be sure staff in safety vests are out on the sidewalk to greet your child and ensure he/she safely moves into the building. We'd also ask that parents do not get out of the car or escort your child in. Remaining in your car keeps the line moving and if you need to come in to the building we have a sign in process for that in the front office.
Medication
Students are NEVER to transport medication with them. We have forms, see below, that must be filled out and medications can be brought in to the office and picked up by an adult. If cough drops or other over the counter medication is needed, there is a form for those things and they will be dispensed in the office with supervision. If you have questions, please call!
Warm Clothing
Students are outside daily for recess! It is important for all students to have appropriate outside attire. With winter weather approaching, please label ALL of your child's gear. This includes boots, snow pants, jackets, hats and gloves! If any of these items are not in your budget at this time, please reach out to our school counselor, Rachael Olson, and she can assist with needed gear!
Office Information
If your child will be/has been absent it is important to call the office within 24 hours. You may leave a message if needed.
Any end of the day changes need to be made by calling the office.
Any changes to a student's approved pick up list must be done in person at the office.

New Specialists & New Specials
You may hear your child speaking about Mrs. Leslie when he/she talks about MUSIC for the next few weeks. Mrs. Leslie will be working with students through January 17th. She will be filling the role of Mrs. Peterson. She is a veteran teacher and has been to the building subbing and has already made some very positive relationships with our students!
ART will be moving to NOE second semester. This means that on Tuesday, January 21, your child will have Mrs. McNamara, as he/she did last year for ART!
