Author's Visit: Robin Benway!
On Thursday, October 3rd, your student will have the opportunity to meet and listen to bestselling author Robin Benway, here to talk about her new novel, The Girls of Skylark Lane. This heartwarming story about about twin sisters and their friends, and adventures around a softball team, brings to mind the Babysitters Club - great kids, great coming-of-age story.
If your child is interested in getting this exciting and thoughtful book, click on the picture and use the Tickets tab to select the book! (Your child doesn't need an actual ticket to attend - we just use this as a way to represent the book so you can purchase it!) We will bring the books to your school, and at the end of her event, Robin will be happy to autograph your student's book.
In order for us to process online sales and get books organized to bring out to your school, online sales will be turned off on Thursday, 10/2 at 4 pm! Don't delay!

Transportation
RVUSD provides bus transportation to students who live within district boundaries. To sign up for transportation for the 2024-2025 school year, you will need to complete and submit the Transportation Request Form attached below. Please return the form to the SLMS office. Please also see linked below the list of current bus routes and approved stops. Buses transport students to SLMS from each of the district elementary schools, and return them to the elementary schools in the afternoon; those sites are in bold on the bus routes shown below.
After School Clubs and Homework Club
SLMS currently has a number of after school club options, as well as Homework Club. Clubs are generally free, although sometimes a donation to help support club activities is requested. Homework club is after school for one hour Mondays through Thursdays, and offers a space and support to work on classwork and homework in a quiet environment. Although SLMS does not have before or after school care, students can attend clubs and activities to help provide support for after school time.
If you are interested in your child attending Homework Club, please fill out the form below. Homework Club will begin on Monday, August 26th.
