Bryan Adams - Destination Imagination Third Place in the World
The DI team Superior Nobility captured 3rd place at the DI Globals held this past week in Knoxville Tennessee with their project focusing on vehicular heatstroke in children. The team's score in the team challenge was the highest of all team competing and the group received strong accolades from the appraisers on the selection of their community project and the "Big Baby" that the team used to draw attention to the big problem of vehicular heatstroke. Congratulations to Celine Espinoza, Claudia Hernandez, Gabriel Gomez, and Leslie Carvillo for a job well done and once again representing Bryan Adams on the world stage. Thank you Dr. Jones for the time and energy you provide to help students achieve this global level of success.

Bryan Adams Feeder School Graduation Walk
I wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for participating in our first ever Bryan Adams Feeder School Graduation Walk. TEAMWORK MAKES A DREAM WORK!!!! A few of my students saw it on Facebook and we made it happen because of you! It was an EXTREMELY REWARDING experience to see our graduates walk the halls of all nine of our Bryan Adams High School feeder schools.
This was a memory that the students involved will NOT forget. We had a total of over 30 students from BA volunteer to go from elementary to elementary in cap and gown hugging and high-fiving students. Many shed tears and huge hugs were exchanged at every school. You welcomed our kiddos in and I am just SO BLESSED to be a part of such an amazing feeder pattern and High School!
Thank you again to every who participated.

BA - First Place in Futsal Tournament
Bryan Adams soccer athletes that took part in the HISTORIC first Futsal Tournament ever held for a public school district in the United States of America!
Futsal is similar to indoor soccer, but involves only 5 players at a time. The ball is smaller, heavier, and has a reduced bounce, forcing players to rely on ball control and foot skills. BA took 1st place honors defeating many high quality high school programs from around our district! Congratulations once again to the Women and Men's soccer programs here at BA!!!
Online Certification Preparation Courses
Four Seniors Receive Scholarship
Bryan Adams PTSA awarded four seniors $500 scholarships from the Scholarship Fund that was established 15-20 years ago. The PTSA was able to give four this year (we usually give two) thanks to generous donations from Reilly Elementary, Hill Middle School, and Gaston Middle School. Thank you so much for your contribution! The four seniors are Carolina Salmeron, Erick Salazar Torres, Ashley Ayala, and Genesis Morales. Congratulations and the best of luck!
Ms. Rosemary Costello and our garden received some awards last week from Real School Gardens! Ms. Costello and Ms. Ellen Frank received "Most Garden Usage" awards, Hexter received "Excellence in Promoting Parent Participation in the outdoor classroom" and Hexter also received the Most Garden Usage award. Ms. Frank and Ms. Costello both won $100 Target gift cards and a catered lunch for the school. We also won the Leafy Learning Nutrition award. Great job Ms. Costello and Ms. Frank!
Also, this year's Earth Day Plant Sale brought in over $2,400 for the garden!
We love our garden and the woman who has brought it to life. Ms. Costello, your dedication to our school garden and outdoor learning is unmatched. We appreciate you and your hard work!
