Stonewall Alliance Updates

The Stonewall Alliance Center of Chico has been closely following the developments and Public Health recommendations regarding COVID-19. The health and safety of our community is our number one priority, and we are taking extra care to keep our office sanitized each day and in-between visits from the public.

Due to recommendations from local and national health departments, including limiting social gatherings and events, we have decided to postpone all upcoming trans* week events. Please stay tuned as we confirm official rescheduled dates (tentatively September 2020.)

If you have purchased tickets for any of our upcoming trainings, we will be issuing refunds promptly through EventBrite and directly communicating updates with all attendees via email. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out at center@stonewallchico.org. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and dedication to the trans* community.

Currently, we are planning to hold Chico Pride throughout the month of June, with our first event (the Showcase) beginning on June 5th and our Downtown Festival on June 6th.

We are proceeding cautiously, planning on June but aware that this could shift to later in the summer, depending on local and national developments.

If you would like to be a performer, sponsor, or vendor at any of our Chico Pride 2020 events, information is currently available at StonewallChicoPride.com.

In order to help protect our community from contamination, and to anticipate the likely event of limited local mobility, our social and support groups will be hosted virtually, via video chat using Google Hangouts, during the coming weeks.

Instructions on exactly how to access this service, and how to log in to each group, can be found on the Groups page of our website, at www.stonewallchico.com/social-and-support-groups.

Our free and confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing will continue to be available on a walk-in basis during our testing clinic, Mondays from 4-6pm. Our lending library, information and referral services are here for you during our regular business hours, M-F 12-6pm.

Our counseling services will continue by appointment, after calling 530-809-2485 and connecting with a counselor.
