Macon-Piatt Principal awarded Regional Leadership Award
Ms. Jessica Ellison is in her eighteenth year as the Special Education Administrator and Principal of Macon-Piattβs Social Emotional Learning Academy (SELA). As administrator of this program, she has adapted to staffing vacancy challenges, program reviews, and school cultural changes regarding legislative mandates. She has emphasized professional development for her staff to improve behavioral and social-emotional outcomes for students in a 12 member-district cooperative. Ms. Ellison has developed partnerships with community agencies and parents that have created lasting relationships, highlighting the great things our cooperative does for kids. Congratulations on your award!
