• Front doors will open at 7:30am. First bell rings at 8:15am. When students arrive on campus before 7:45am they will go to the gym, until they are released to class.
• Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy, unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.

Ashlyn has shown tremendous improvement in math. She is always very respectful to the teacher and classmates. - Calvin Henningson

Octave is a great example for other students. He is respectful, kind, and shows integrity in all of his work and behavior. In class, he is always willing to go to the extra mile for others whether it is to explain something they aren’t understanding or just being a good friend. - Erin Miller

The P-Z Student of the Week is Avery Pozzi,

nominated by Ms. Killion.

Avery is always responsible with her classwork and makes sure to complete assignments and notes she misses due to sports. She is also extremely helpful at the end of each day by making sure iPads are plugged in and the classroom is organized. I am very lucky to have Avery in my class. - Brittney Killion

1) We wanted to thank all the parents and community members for voting in the LCISD Bond proposal. We appreciate your support and dedication to student success.

2) Parents, as a reminder, when students are picked up early because a notice has been sent regarding their bus running late in the afternoon, any class they miss after being picked up will be considered unexcused and may affect final exam exemptions.

For any student arriving to school on a late bus in the morning, if an absence is given, these will be considered excused and not effect final exam exemptions.

3) Viewing your Student's Progress Report or Report Card in Skyward

• 1 - Login to Skyward and Click "Portfolio" in the menu
• 2 - Click the name of the report card or progress report you would like
• 3 - Click "View Report" on the pop-up window
• 4 - It will generate in a new window which you can view or print

Good Afternoon!

I am reaching out to the families of our wonderful Emergent Bilingual students to invite you to our Parent Support Night at Leaman. Please see the attached flyer for information about the evening we are hosting on Tuesday December 6th. We have held this education night several times in the past with families who were newly enrolling and needed help learning our systems and applications. While hosting these, we learned that MANY of our parents who have been in our district for years do not feel comfortable with helping their student navigate successfully through the school day. Often we hear that parents are not sure how to help access homework or assignments when needed or how to determine when tutorials may help their child reach success. This year, we are expanding our event to include you! Come join us in the computer lab for an hour to gain comfort with Skyward, Canvas, Office, and ClassLink access from any computer. Spaces are limited, so please register if you would like to join! We look forward to seeing you in person!

** note: If you also have a student who attends Roberts, our evening there will be held on Thursday, November 10th. You may choose to register your family at either night. Please only select one, as we will share the same information at each school.

PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
