Scorpion Scoop
September 21, 2024
A Message from Principal Hann
Scorpion families,
As we move through this month, we are focused on spreading positivity to our students. Every day is a chance to reset and be the best version of themselves. We are asking them to choose kindness and respectโit not only lifts others up, but it creates a better environment for everyone. We want them to know, even a small act of kindness can make a big impact on those around them. Join us in modeling and encouraging these values for our students as we work to build a positive school community.
We are thrilled about the excitement that kicked off at Saturday's parade, marking the beginning of our Homecoming week! The energy on campus was incredible, and weโre eagerly looking forward to the pep assembly and the big game against Sunnyslope on Friday night, where weโll crown our Homecoming royalty. To wrap up this amazing week, we will host our Homecoming dance on Saturday evening. Doors will open at 7:00 PM, and we want to remind everyone that entry will close at 8:30 PM, with the dance ending at 10:00 PM.
Thank you for your continued support in making this a memorable and safe Homecoming week for all! Thank you for your support and trust.
Wishing you a great week ahead!

Opportunities Outside of DEHS
A message from Mrs. Royal:
I'm Denise Royal, the Director of Theatre Arts at DEHS. As a high school student, I had the opportunity to participate in Educational Travel outside of the U.S. and it was an experience that changed my life! That experience, and all the personal growth I gained from that trip, is what fuels my desire to share these experiences with our student community. Having led several tours with EF over the last few years to both Europe & Asia, I am excited to share with you some new opportunities for student travel. Although this is not a school sponsored program, for over 50 years, EF Tours has worked with educators throughout the world to make the dream of travel available to their students. I hope you will consider one of these opportunities for your DE student.
