A Note From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
April is a pivotal month in the school year, marking the transition from early spring into the final stretch before summer break. It is a time when students and staff alike feel a renewed sense of urgency—state testing, final projects, and important assessments become a central focus. Teachers are working diligently to ensure students are mastering key concepts, while students are balancing their academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities, spring sports, and end-of-year events.
This month also presents a unique opportunity for reflection and growth. For students, it’s a chance to showcase how much they have learned throughout the year and to set goals for finishing strong. For educators, April is a reminder of the impact they have had and the work still to be done in preparing students for success. It is also a time when we see resilience on full display—whether it’s a student overcoming challenges in the classroom, a team pushing through the last games of their season, or a senior preparing for graduation.
At Le Sueur-Henderson Middle/High School, April brings a mix of excitement and determination. We celebrate student achievements, encourage perseverance, and continue fostering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. As the weather warms and days grow longer, we embrace the momentum of the season, ensuring that each student finishes the year with confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
With GIANT PRIDE,
Cindy Schmidt
Middle and High School Principal

Vaccination Reminder for the 2025-2026 School Year
Dear Parent or Guardian,
As your child's school nurse, I want to remind you about the importance of ensuring your child is up to date on their vaccinations before the start of the upcoming school year. Vaccines are the most effective way to protect your child from serious diseases and are required for school attendance.
Required Vaccinations for the 2025-2026 School Year:
• Incoming 7th graders: Tdap and Meningococcal (MenACWY)
• Incoming 12th graders: Meningococcal Booster (MenACWY)
To ensure a smooth start to the school year, please make arrangements for your child to receive the required vaccinations before the first day of school. Immunization records or a signed exemption form must be submitted to the school by then for your child to attend.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Beth Wagner
School Nurse
