Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Parents, there are several opportunities for you to volunteer for the choir program throughout the year. The first of which is the upcoming District Audition Workshop. You will be receiving a separate email with more details on how you can help with that event. In the meantime, if you would like to volunteer for the choir program, please fill out the Volunteer Survey below.

District Audition Workshop on September 7

The District Audition Workshop will be at The Woodlands HS 9th grade campus 10010 Branch Crossing Drive, The Woodlands 77382 on Sept. 7th. This workshop is highly recommended for all who are auditioning for District and is a great way to be certain you’re prepared two weeks before the audition. Cost is $25 and includes pizza for lunch! To help us with our planning, you can sign up today using the link below! Please bring your own music, a pencil, and a few dollars for concessions. We hope to see you there!

Please plan to attend our Choir Parent Meeting on Tuesday, September 10th.

We are very excited about our Choir Parent Meeting & Student Performance on Tuesday, 9/10/24.

The meeting will be held at TWHS 6101 Research Forest Drive, in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. This is a required performance for choir members, and a major grade.

Topics for the parent meeting will include:

Choir uniforms
Choir Fees and Finances
Fundraising
Booster Club & Volunteer Opportunities
Spirit Wear
Spring Trip Opportunity

Students: Wear red polos, jeans, closed toed shoes. (note for new TWHS choir members: your red polo will be delivered to you before the performance and will be billed later(they are $25 each).

For students, their timeline is:

5:15 pm - 9th Treble arrives at TWHS Choir Room (Practice National Anthem)

5:30 pm – All Sopranos & Altos in Band Hall. (Practice Caritas & Lacrimosa)

5:45 pm – Varsity Men in Band Hall. (Practice Convidando & Lacrimosa)

6:00 pm – Parent Meeting begins in Cafeteria

6:15 pm – All Walk to Cafeteria

6:30 pm – Concert 1. SSB 2. Convidando 3. Caritas 4. Lacrimosa

7:00 pm - Dismissal

Parents, If you are unable to attend the meeting, information will be made available by Monday 9/16/24.

Sponsorships

We are thrilled to launch our inaugural sponsorship program “Giving a Voice to Excellence” for the year 2024-25.This program will support over 330 students and 3 amazing teachers who consistently have accomplished superior ratings and received numerous accolades. We are excited to offer this opportunity to our choir parents/family and local community and will be honored if you consider partnering with us. Your tax deductible donation will open doors to supporting these endeavors as the cost of running a successful choir program is quite considerable.

Please find our 2024-25 sponsorship goals and ways to get involved in the attached flyer. We look forward to your support and your participation. Please note that a sponsorship does not take the place of a choir student's annual fee, but rather would be a donation in addition to their choir fee.

District Choir Auditions on Saturday, September 21

District is the first round of the All-State Choir audition process.The auditions are at Oak Ridge HS. We will meet at 6:45 am at TWHS SENIOR CAMPUS and take buses to Oak Ridge HS. More details will be sent to all students who are auditioning and their parents via email. Students, if you are planning to audition and have not yet turned in your Entry Form, please do so by Friday August 30th. They are available in the choir room.
