Bear Blast
Week of Dec 16, 2024
Working together; succeeding together.
As Treaty people, we take this moment to honor the lands of Treaties 4 and 6, and all they have provided to us and our families across many generations. These lands have long served as traditional meeting grounds, gathering places, and traveling routes for the Cree, Dene, Nakota, Dakota, Saulteaux, and Ojibway peoples since time immemorial. We also recognize these lands as the homeland of Métis Nation Eastern Region II.
We honor the ancestors whose footsteps have shaped these lands. We acknowledge that our use of these lands has come at a profound cost, including the impacts of colonialism and the residential school system. With this recognition, we commit to working together toward reconciliation and forging a path forward that honors the past and builds a better future for all.

Xmas Hampers 2024
PPCS will once again be collecting food for Xmas hampers to ensure that everyone has a Merry Xmas. This year, due to reduced needs, only grades 1, 5, 6, 78, and 10 will need to bring food. Each class has a BINGO card outlining what they need to bring. Thank in advance for your support in ensuring everyone in our community has a vert Merry Christmas.

A Friendly Wager
This weekend our Sr. Boys travelled to The Pas for a tournament. I reached out to their principal, Mr. Berry with a wager. If our Bears were victorious over his Spartans he had to wear our uniform in a picture. If his Spartans were victorious, Mr. B would wear their uniform for a pic in my place. The picture speaks for itself. The Bears went on to win Silver, losing out to Thompson, MB.
Volunteers and Athletes of the Month
Volunteer of the Month
Ms. Wallen has been a valuable leader in our girls volleyball programs. She has committed countless hours of her time throughout the fall to coaching 2 teams which were active just about every day of the week. Her dedication to sport is appreciated and we would like to say thank you for all that you do for Bears Athletics.
Athletes of the Month
Faye Pascual A true defensive powerhouse, Faye consistently demonstrates exceptional skill in reading the game, making crucial digs, and keeping plays alive for their team.
What truly sets Faye apart is their work ethic and commitment to improving. Whether it’s during practice or in the heat of competition, she approaches every moment with focus and determination. Her hustle on the court inspires teammates and raises the overall energy of the team. Great work Faye.
Saige Althouse A true cornerstone of the team, Saige brings an unparalleled sense of calm and focus to every game and practice. Whether the team needs a steadying influence or an extra cheer to stay motivated, Saige is always there, leading by example.
Saige is known for her incredible work ethic and unrelenting determination. But what truly sets her apart is her bullet of a serve and her defense at the net! Time and time again, Saige's powerful, precise serves have left opponents scrambling and helped the team rack up crucial points.
Beyond her athletic skill, Saige's composed demeanor and positive attitude inspire everyone to be their best, both on and off the court. Thank you for your time with Bears Athletics and best of luck in your future.

Check Your Punch Card Balance
Please note, as we get used to this new system, please be aware that punch card balances may be up to 1 week behind.
Once you click the link below and find your child's account number, you will see a number to the left of their account number (i.e. 17). That number will not change, so you only have to remember that number going forward.
We hope that this will help our families.
