Paper Reading and Paper Missions
Discover Paper Reading to identify reading pace and fluency!

How it works
Paper Reading listens to students as they read aloud and provides them with immediate feedback in the form of useful metrics. Students grab a book off the shelf or a piece of digital content and read out loud. Paper Reading will automatically identify their reading pace, potential miscues, total reading time, and unique words read.
With this repeated practice, students can see a positive impact on their confidence in reading as well as their literacy skills.
Uses
-Practice Reading Fluency all grades!
-EL Students practicing reading English
-Foreign Language Students (can be used for Spanish, French, and German)

✨In-class free reading time
Promote independent reading in your classes by setting aside 10-15 minutes for reading. Students can choose what they want to read and record themselves reading it out loud. The platform then provides personalized feedback, freeing up your time to support struggling students.
How it works
Ask students to open Paper Reading
They click on the Free Read button to start a reading activity
They pick any physical book, digital text or one of our sample readings and start recording themselves reading out loud
Finish recording → You and the student get immediate feedback
⭐️ Pro tip: Some teachers encourage students to find a quiet place in the hallway so they can more confidently read out loud.
✨ Accountability on reading assignments
Create and assign reading assignments on Paper Reading so you can see exactly who read, how much they read, and how well they read.
How it works
Click the “New assignment” button to create reading assignments with built-in scaffolding supports
Assign the assignment to specific students or the entire classes
Ask your students to open Paper Reading and complete the reading assignment
You will know exactly how much each student read and gain preliminary insights into their reading fluency
PROGRESS MONITORING TOOL
Easily monitor student reading progress over time.
You can export the data to share with parents and administrators.
Full of game-based elements and exciting challenges, Paper Missions is an interactive math hub where students can acquire and practice essential concepts—all at their own pace.
HOW IT WORKS
Engage
A fun, low-pressure environment makes math inviting—not intimidating.
Familiarize
Exciting challenges incentivize daily practice to help learners master math concepts.
Reinforce
Clear progress and ongoing encouragement help students build a genuine love of math.
Fueled by fun storylines and concept-specific challenges, Paper Missions is an interactive math hub where students can practice math skills by completing Missions and acquire new knowledge at their own pace.
Missions are story-based problems that develop subject-specific math skills, including counting, operations, geometry, and trigonometry. Students complete Missions by identifying correct variables, inputting them into the game, and solving the equation by dragging and dropping. Students begin their journeys by selecting a math level. After they pick their desired level, students can access a variety of topic-specific categories, each with their own Missions.
