Parent-Teacher Conferences:

Parent-Teacher conferences are just around the corner, February 13th and 14th, so please remember to mark your calendars. We will dismiss at 11:40am on those days. Teacher will reach out to parents to schedule a conference if needed.

Night at the Museum/STEAM

Thanks you all our wonderful teachers, staff, parents, and students for making our Night at the Museum/STEAM event a great success! Special thanks to Mrs. Allen (OMA arts teacher) for the wonderful student art work and Mrs. Howe for coordinating all the wonderful guest presenters and providing great hands on activities.

Soleng Tom’s PBIS

Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) This system focuses on making good decisions and having clear school rules and expectations. The goal of our PBIS ‘Be Kind’ Campus and our Love-and-Logic is to instill in students the importance of having high character. In the world students with high character and high competence are the most effective and have the most success. It is our goal at Soleng Tom to help all of our students achieve this. At home you can reinforce this by asking your students about their day and reminding them of the importance of being a person of high character. One way to help all students reach this goal is to focus on their responsibilities, and hold them accountable for their actions. This is especially important when it comes to completing homework, and making sure students are at school on time everyday. Homework and attendance are very important parts of our program. It’s imperative that students complete assigned homework and turn it in when it is due, allowing them to keep practicing their skills.

Thank you for your support in this. The partnership between the school and home is vital in your child’s success! Special thanks to our wonderful PTSA for supporting our PBIS by sponsoring our Dragon Dollar rewards and Book Vending machine.
