Monday, September 30 is a Professional Growth Day for PUSD Staff. There is no school for students. School will resume on Tuesday, October 1.

There will be a modified bell schedule on Friday, October 11 at Poway High School for our Homecoming Assembly. School start and dismissal times will remain the same (8:35 am-3:35 pm), but please be aware of class period, break, and lunch times for off-rolls and off-campus passes.

Homecoming tickets are on sale now online at the ASB Webstore (under the ASB tab) and during break and lunch at the Student Store.

Students bringing guests from other schools must complete an Application for Dance Guest Pass and have it signed by their Assistant Principal. Tickets for guests cannot be purchased online and cannot be purchased until the guest pass is filled out and signed by the Assistant Principal. Poway High students can buy their tickets separately if they want to get them at a lower price point.

We are very excited to offer students in grades 10-12 the opportunity to take a college course, Cinema 100 on our high school campus during trimesters 2 and 3. Please see the flyer below for more information.

Poway High School’s instrumental music program is seeking advertising sponsors for our upcoming events. Your advertising support contributes to the success of the Instrumental Music Program.

· Emerald Brigade Season 2024 Commemorative Program (130 copies)
· Band & Orchestra Festival Program (50 high school and middle school bands performing over three days. Approximately 900 audience members.)

A Jostens rep will be at PHS on Thursday, October 3 at lunch in the gym to provide cap and gown information.

Seniors! If you still have not yet scheduled your senior portrait with Keane Studios, please make an appointment within the next few weeks. Only portraits taken by Keane will be used in the yearbook. If you have not yet scheduled, you should have received an email from the studio with a link for the account the studio already set up for you. If you did not receive an email, please use this link to set up a new account: https://www.keaneseniors.com/book-session . Our goal is to have every senior’s portrait in the yearbook!

Hi PHS parents and students, check out the 2024-25 Counseling Canvas Page Announcements to stay up to date on all the events hosted by the Counseling Dept./Titan Center! All students should be enrolled in PHS Counseling 2024-25.

Calling all Titans, please take a look at our college visits list. We highly encourage ALL grade levels to sign-up for at least one college visit. Yes, even the 9th and 10th Graders can benefit from attending a college visit. It may seem like a ways off, but I promise you that senior year will be here before you know it. College visits are only offered during the fall so that's two or three opportunities before your senior year... decision time! At these visits, students will find out what they like and don't like in a college, how you can prepare for senior year, and an opportunity to speak to an admissions representative (the person reading your college applications).

College visits end October 31. Most college visits are during lunch or break in the Titan Center Room K-16 or Library Room L-13. College admissions representatives from universities across the country will visit PHS to give short presentations to interested students about their admissions process and scholarship opportunities.

Learn about full scholarships to study abroad or to learn a strategic language over the summer and other study abroad opportunities available to high school students and graduating seniors as a gap year. A representative from AFS Intercultural Programs will be in the Titan Center at lunchtime on Wednesday October 2, 2024, with information about AFS study abroad programs and about USA Government sponsored scholarships for study abroad for a school year or summer.

PUSD high school students (9-12th grade) are invited to the PUSD College & Career Fair featuring nearly 100 representatives from colleges, universities, trades, and military. PHS is offering the ASVAB exam on Nov 7th at 8:35am. If you are interested, please stop by the Titan Center or sign-up using the link below. Students 16 years and older are able to take this assessment. This is not just for joining the military. If you are curious about find a job that would be a great fit for you, then you can take this exam as a career assessment. We will have a workshop on December 3rd to review the results and discuss different career path options.

Attention Titans, Join us for a popular college presentation that will explore the benefits and opportunities of attending an out-of-state college. Don’t miss this chance to learn about a diverse range of universities, including small and large institutions, suburban and urban campuses, as well as private and public schools. Admissions Reps will provide information about options that exist beyond California, WUE scholarship options, and how to find the right college fit for you; academics and financial aid. We will save time for you to visit with each college after the presentation. We can’t wait to see you there! Save the date and register here!

Hi Titans, If you missed our September workshop for ROTC scholarship opportunities, we are excited to host another workshop in November with U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC). Whether you're curious about service or exploring different pathways for your future, this event is for you! Hosted by 2d Lt Alex Macdonald, received his commission as a Reserve Officer Training Corps Graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He will go on to attend Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. No Sign-up is required. Save the date for November 21st during lunch in the Titan Center!

Please note if a test center decides to close, students will receive direct notification from the College Board. You can register for the SAT at the College Board website here. You can register for the ACT at the ACT website here. We will have more information for the PSAT in August 2024.
