• First Day of Summer School (9:20-3:20 - doors open at 9:05)

We will be having our 5th graders walk the halls one last time on the last day of school. This will start right at 12:00. 5th grade parents are welcome to attend this event and will line the halls in the cafe. Students will finish the walk out in front of the school where they will be dismissed from there.

Our whole school dismissal will start promptly after the 5th grade walk.

Thank you to all the families that helped shower our staff during Staff Appreciation Week. From donating food, gift cards, writing thank you notes, and so much more, we thank you!

Thank you for all of the kind words, wishes, cards and reception for my upcoming retirement! Fox Hill will always have a special place in my heart! I will miss the Fox Hill School Community dearly!

If your child has any medication at school and they are not attending summer school, please plan to stop by the school this week to pick it up. We cannot send medications home with students. If they are planning to attend summer school at Fox Hill (not current 5th graders), we can keep the medicine at school.

In 2024, the June session will be offered four days per week, following this schedule:

• Week 1: June 3-6
• Week 2: June 10-13
• Week 3: June 17, 18, 20, 21
  • Wednesday, June 19 is a holiday (Juneteenth) with no summer school. Friday, June 21 will be a virtual attendance day for students and teachers in summer school.
• Week 4: June 24-27

Fox Hill's Summer School Hours: 9:20 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.

Directions on how to enroll your child in summer school:

• Parents and guardians may enroll students for summer programming beginning Monday, March 11, 2024, through Friday, May 17, 2024.
• Summer School takes an "everybody rises" approach. For example, if your child completes 1st grade this spring, they will be considered a 2nd-grade student for summer school.
• It is important to note that if your child completes 5th grade, 6th grade, or 8th grade this spring, they will transition to the next grade level and their new building for summer programming.

Incoming Kindergarten students have an opportunity to enroll in our Kickoff to Kindergarten (K2K) summer school program to learn all about Fox Hill. This includes the school routines and expectations. Enrollment is now open and the deadline to enroll is Friday, May 8th. Please complete the enrollment attachment below.

K2K is a little different than regular summer school as it is offered in two 2-week sessions. On the enrollment form, please select your preference of session or no preference.

• Session One: June 3-6 & June 10-13
• Session Two: June 17-20 & June 24-27

Kindergarten enrollment is now open. Please follow the link below to enroll your child in kindergarten. If you already have an account (sibling enrolled), you will need to sign in. If this is your first time enrolling a student in our district, you will need to create an account.

You will need to submit ALL 3 items below. Please bring them to Fox Hill or email them to colin.mcclatchey@nkcschools.org

• Immunization records
• Birth certificate
• Proof of Residency- TWO of the following:
• A current rental contract/agreement, mortgage statement or current personal property tax receipt
• Driver's License or state-issued ID
• A current utility bill (i.e. gas, water, electric) upon which your address is printed and dated within the last 90 days

**All families that are currently enrolled in preschool at the EEC or another NKC preschool, will not be able to enroll in kindergarten until July. Please note that your child's NKC preschool has given us their names, but you'll need to officially enroll them in July.

We would love to have 100% of our families join the Booster Club. You can also access the form via the below link. Please complete the form and return it to the Fox Hill office. Our Booster Club supports numerous events for our staff and students during the school year. We are very appreciative of this support!
