Titans' Times
Week-at-a-Glance (WAAG) for April 2-5, 2024
Happy Easter to all of our Legal Titans Families!
Did You Know?
Easter is the longest Season in the
Roman Catholic Liturgical Calendar!
It's 50 days long (7 weeks!)
After fasting, it's time for feasting!
Now, that's worth celebrating!
We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday morning and then on Friday morning, the students and staff will celebrate Easter with mass at St. Émile Parish. We are excited to celebrate Easter as a school community!
We hope everyone is having a wonderful spring break and a lovely Easter weekend!
Blessings for a wonderful week ahead,

Has Someone Made Your Child Feel Small?
It’s not uncommon for children to run into negative situations with their peers that can leave them feeling small or insignificant. Maybe they shared an idea that was ridiculed or tried something new that was made fun of. It is important for us to encourage our children to stand tall and give them the tools they need to protect themselves physically, emotionally, and psychologically when others try to put them down. Depending on the situation, sometimes the easiest way to resolve the issue can be to tell them to just “ignore it”, but the easiest route may not always be the best. Instead, children need to be equipped with practical, actionable, and useful strategies they can confidently use. Let’s help our children learn how to shine bright even when others try to dim their light!
Check out these strategies from Big Life Journal that can help kids navigate their way through a situation where they feel someone is trying to put them down:

Parent Information
Starting a Social Media Conversation - PARENT SESSION May 2nd
Thank you to School Council for arranging this important parent session to be held in May!!
The Parent Session bridges the gap between parent understanding and kids’ behaviour,
and doing everything they can to start a positive social media conversation in homes.
Participants will learn the scope of online activity of kids in grades 4 to 12, highlighting
both the positive and negative. They’ll learn better questions to ask, and come away with
tools to lean into conversations about social media use.
Tips and guidelines will be provided so parents can make choices that will protect their
kids while allowing them to enjoy the positive aspects of social media.
Since most kids have exposure to social media, whether through their own use or through
the use of those around them, parents will be able to reinforce good choices at home and
allow kids to feel more competent, supported, and confident in their social media use.
