Hello Davis families!

Welcome to Week 34!

We are excited to share some great news — our Davis Tigers volleyball team has secured another impressive victory! We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes for their hard work, commitment, and outstanding display of sportsmanship both on and off the court. Their teamwork and determination continue to inspire us all.

A very special thank you to our dedicated coaches — Mr. Jamal, Mrs. Dutra, Mr. Garcia, Ms. Sahota, and countless others who have supported our students — for their guidance, encouragement, and leadership. Your efforts make a tremendous difference for our students. Go Tigers!

In addition to celebrating our athletic achievements, we have a few important updates for the coming weeks:

  • CAASPP Makeup Testing: We will begin CAASPP makeup testing next week for students who were absent during the initial testing window. Please encourage your child to do their best, and ensure they get plenty of rest and arrive at school on time each day.

  • DIBELS Testing: Our Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students will also begin DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) testing next week. This assessment helps us monitor student progress and plan the best support for their continued reading growth.

We appreciate your partnership in helping your child be ready and successful during these important assessments.

Friendly Reminder:
If your child will be absent for any reason, please make sure to call the school office to report the absence. This helps us keep accurate attendance records and ensures that we can support your child in making up any missed work or assessments.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community. Together, we are helping every Davis Tiger grow, succeed, and shine!

Have a great week, Davis Tigers! Go to Davis, Go to College!

Chromebooks are essential tools for learning in the classroom, used for various applications and tasks. To ensure students have access to the necessary resources, it is expected that students bring their fully charged Chromebooks to school each day. Please note that there is a limited number of loaner devices available. If your student has lost or damaged their Chromebook, please notify their teacher as soon as possible so that the device can be repaired or replaced.

More information about Chromebooks and the Chromebook Care Plan can be found by clicking here.

Adults interested in volunteering in their student's classroom or chaperoning a field trip will need to complete the Volunteer Request Form and be fingerprinted. Please connect with your student's teacher to determine volunteer opportunities. We are currently seeking volunteers to support in supervision of students during lunch between 10:30 am - 1:00 pm. If you are available, please contact the office or scan the QR code.

Morning Dropoff Morning Dropoff

Please remember that the front gate does not open until 7:40 am as there is no supervision for students prior to this time. It is important that students come to school dressed appropriately, including wearing school-appropriate shoes. If your student comes to school in Crocs or sandals, they will be asked to sit out PE and may not go in the barkbox or onto the fields during recess due to safety concerns.

Students who wish to eat breakfast in the cafeteria should arrive no later than 7:45 am. For students arriving by bus, please proceed immediately to the cafeteria. The cafeteria will be cleared out 15 minutes after the latest bus arrives to ensure that students do not miss instructional time.

Please remember that if your student has not yet been dismissed and you are in the loading zone, staff will be asking you to park or loop around to allow other parents to load their students who are waiting. We also ask that you model safe behaviors and use the crosswalk. Our Tigers know this is a Tiger Tenet and a way to be safe!

We thank you for your patience and for working with our staff to ensure dismissal occurs smoothly.
