Happy Friday, Panther Community!
We are looking forward to the last few weeks of school and celebrating all of our students’ accomplishments! As we near the end of the year, please remind your students to study hard, be on time, and give it their best effort!
Senior families, we hope you are making plans to attend our Graduation ceremony on June 5th! Please remind your seniors that they need to complete all of their classes successfully in order to walk at graduation. We are here to support them, so please contact a counselor if they need extra support!

Students Enrolled in Free Periods
Is your student signed up for a free period their Senior year?
Please be on the lookout for this parent consent form, which will be sent home with your student and needs to be signed before students leave for the summer. If we don't receive parent consent for a free period, your student will be assigned to a class as per California Education Code.

AFJROTC Class at the Beach!
Our AFJROTC students were able to visit an amazing hovercraft at the beach this week.
Humane Society Drive
Character Leaders students are holding a food and supplies drive for the San Diego Humane Society from April 22nd-May 3rd. Shelters across the country are overcrowded, and precious animals in their care need us more than ever! Donations can be brought to room T302. See teacher David Hanlon for more information.

Panther families,Come check out the new Building T during our PTSA Association Meeting and Coffee With the Principal. We will be electing our new board at the Tuesday April 30 Association Meeting at 6pm in Building T Room 306. Followed by Coffee with the Principal.
Join Principal Megan Ratiff to discuss what is going at Vista High School. Find what is going at Vista High School. Invite a friend or two.
Pizza, Coffee, and Drinks will be provided as well as Spanish Translation.
We have a few openings on our PTSA board and would love for you to nominate yourself or a close friend for any of the following positions:

- Financial Reviewer (formally know as Auditor)
- Hospitality Coordinator
- Reflections

Small Business Ownership and Management
The Small Business Ownership and Management course is an elective course designed for students who are interested in learning how to start a small business. Students will learn about the role of a small business in the economy, as well as the common challenges small businesses face. Students will gain an understanding of how to start, build, and manage a business, including employees. Students will also learn the principles of marketing, finance, and operations for small businesses, and develop their own business plan.
From the Librarian
The San Diego County Library has made its digital and audio books available to thousands of local students throughout the county. Any student in Vista USD, using just their student IDs, may check out the library’s collection of age-appropriate digital materials via Sora, an app used by school districts.
Additionally, every VHS student can check out the San Diego County Library’s Teen Book of the Month with their student ID through the Sora app— the ebook and the audiobook! Unlimited checkouts means no waitlists or holds.

Many of the local and regional scholarships are now open. As many require transcripts, letters of recommendation, and some writing - putting it off until the last second is not an option. Remember, money is on the table so don't let this slip past you! Check the bulletin at least once a week and google for scholarships that are in your major or have something to do with your background.

Club Info
Buddies Club meets Tuesdays at lunch in the GYM. Please join us for fun with our Buddies as we support inclusion for everyone at VHS. ALL ARE WELCOME! :) .
Yu-Gi-Oh club meets every Thursday during lunch in V-20. Want to learn how to duel? Interested in learning the tournament style of dueling. Join Yu-Gi-Oh club today! Stop by V-20 to get more information. Look for flyers around campus.
GSA Club meets Tuesdays in D20 during lunch.
Interested in crime & punishment? Want to know more about the law and being a lawyer? Come to D18 this Wednesday during lunch for Mock Trial information.
Book Club meets in D17 every Thursday after school. See Ms Vancelette with any questions.
BSU (Black Student Union) will be meeting every Friday in room D17. All are welcome!
The Whosoevers Club will be meeting in V12 every Wednesday at lunch. Snacks provided. All are welcome!
