K-8 at MLO and WWO will follow this schedule:
- Early Bird Registration for Returning Students: Thursday April 10, 2025 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm
- Registration for Returning Students: May 5 - May 23, 2025, from 8:00am - 4:00pm
- New Student Testing: June 2 - June 6, 2025, from 8:00am - 4:00pm
- New Student Registration: June 9 - June 12, from 8:00am - 4:00pm
- New Student Testing: July 28 - July 31, 2025, from 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Final New Student Registration: August 4 - August 7, 2025

Princess proudly represented Wiŋyaŋ Wakaŋ showcasing her project titled

Mahpíya Lúta B-Team Tournament
Maȟpíya Lúta B-Team wrapped up a stellar season with a 2nd place finish at their end-of-season tournament!
They opened strong with wins over Batesland (77-25) and American Horse (46-21), and battled to the final buzzer in the championship game, falling just short to Wolf Creek, 50-47.
Led by Coach Dawn Hernandez, this group showed incredible growth, heart, and hustle all season long. Shoutout to Peyton, Louden, Jordan, Cash, Blake, Jacob, Hoksila, and Kenton for their dedication and teamwork.
The future is bright for Maȟpíya Lúta basketball!

SDWCA Wrestling Champion: Tylyn Eagle Bull
Huge congratulations to Tylyn Eagle Bull for bringing home 1st place at the SDWCA State Championship this weekend in Rapid City! Two-time State Champ!
After taking 1st at Regionals, Tylyn kept the momentum rolling and dominated the 160lb, 14U division to become a STATE CHAMPION!
Your hard work, heart, and hustle paid off — way to represent and inspire!
We couldn’t be prouder. The future is bright for this rising star!
Welcome back the Thunder Beings
Maȟpíya Lúta middle school went to Hiŋháŋkaǧa Pahá and offered prayers to welcome back the thunder beings! It was a great day for a hike! Click on the photo to hear the students sing in prayer.
Mahpiya Luta High School Presents: Clue
The high shcool students have been working hard, and this will be a great performance: Come support the Maȟpíya Lúta Thespians! April 4th and 5th starting at 6:00 PM in the little gym.

This Wópila Wednesday will feature 7th Graders
Wóphila Wednesday offers students the chance to bring a parent or relative to lunch! The goal is to highlight recipes with indigenous ingredients and share the significance of cultural foods with students.This initiative is in collaboration with Sean Sherman, owner and visionary of The Sioux Chef in Minneapolis, and the Maȟpíya Lúta Food Sovereignty Program
