Faculty/Staff Spotlight
This week's Faculty Spotlight highlights science teacher, Ms. Decker. Coach Decker always thinks of ways to make scientific concepts memorable for her students. This week, chemistry students created ionic and covalent bonds using gummy bears, frosting, and toothpicks. As students created their models, Coach Decker asked targeted questions to assess student understanding. Creating a model out of food is delicious, but more importantly, is a powerful assessment tool.
Thank you, Coach Decker for creating these memorable learning experiences for our students!
