Responses will be collected anonymously. The purpose of this survey is to identify and provide the best support to our community. We feel your input is valuable and we will use this feedback to create measurable goals to improve our processes.

KISD Department of Academic Counseling, College & Career Guidance
Dear Parents,
This week your student will participate in the End-of-Year Renaissance Star Reading screener. This assessment is computer-adaptive and created to assist teachers to quickly identify areas of strengths and growth for students in reading. With this tool, teachers will be able to more specifically target their instruction to ensure student growth for each individual student.
This assessment will not be taken for a grade as it is strictly a tool to provide teachers with data to inform instruction. The screener will take the students approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our ELA Instructional Coach, Angela Astorga, at angelajastorga@katyisd.org. Thank you!
AP Testing starts May 6th
AP testing will be begin next week and run through the end of the school year. Students should bring a packed lunch every day as well as their school ID, blue and black pens, pencils, and a calculator if necessary. They can find their testing location on the room posters that will be posted in the Rotunda the afternoon before each exam as well as the morning of their exams. If you have any questions, please reach out to Meredith Johnson, Tonya Sukhu, or Angela Astorga, the SLHS AP Testing Coordinators.

Safety Protocol Update: Government Issued IDs Effective April 8th
Dear Katy ISD Parents/Guardians and Staff,
As Katy ISD continues its review of safety practices and protocols, it's essential to stress the significance of physical/hard copy government-issued identifications* for accessing campuses/facilities, student registration, and student pickup. The district is strictly enforcing this requirement and will no longer accept paper or digital copies of driver's licenses, visas, and passports at any of its campuses or facilities, for these purposes.
We greatly appreciate our community's cooperation with these safety procedures and your ongoing partnership in maintaining safe and secure environments across Katy ISD campuses and facilities.
Katy ISD
*For our community’s reference, below are examples of acceptable government-issued identifications.
Are you Moving??
If you are moving over the summer and will no longer reside in the Seven Lakes attendance zone, please fill out the attached Leaver Form and send it along with a picture ID of the Guardian to theresaljanda@katyisd.org, haleikasalazar@katyisd.org, amberbgawlik@katyisd.org Thank you!
