BLUE LIBRARY BAGS
This year we began using a reusable library bag to transport library books to and from school. As a result, we saw a marked improvement on the care of the books. Very few books were returned sticky, wet, or otherwise damaged.
In our effort to be better stewards of the environment, we will be collecting all bags from students in grades K through 3rd. (4th grade students may keep their bags as a departing gift) Bags will then be redistributed at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year.
If your child has lost their bag, kindly send in $2.00 cash or check made out to Montgomery Elementary PTO to cover the replacement cost of the bag. We will then give a new bag to your child at the beginning of the school year.
IMPORTANT - These bags are machine washable! We are requesting that you launder your child's library bag and then let air dry. (Please be sure your child's name is still clearly marked on the blue bag after washing.). After it is completely dry, please fold it and put it in a gallon zip lock bag. Put your child's first and last name on the ziplock bag and THE GRADE THEY WILL BE IN NEXT YEAR. We will distribute the bags again at the beginning of next school year.

This fall Montgomery Elementary will host a Girls on The Run Team! Girls on the Run is open to all girls in 3rd and 4th grade who would like to learn more about self confidence while also training for a 5k. The team will practice two days after school until 5:15pm. Training starts on September 11th and will celebrate with an end of season 5k at Yeatmen's Cove on November 18th. The cost is $165 with financial aid available. Registration will open in August. What:Back to School Party!!
Where: Weller Park Shelter, 10021 Weller Rd, Montgomery, 45249
When: Sunday, August 27th 3:30-5:00pm
Details: Bring the family to reconnect with Montgomery Elementary friends and make new ones! Pizza, snacks and snow cones will be provided! This is not a drop off event, parents must stay with students. This will not replace the Kindergarten meet and greet, that will be a separate event.

8/30- All students Grades 1-4 First Day
