Hello Seahawks! We are finally done with our Spring AK STAR testing. Over the past few weeks our students have had the opportunity to participate in several activities. Our students attended the District Dance Festival in Tununak and we also hosted a Family Math Game Night. Our 9th-12th grade students participated in the College and Career Readiness Workshop, and we also hosted a fabulous brunch for our seniors. Inside of the classrooms our students worked on several project based lessons, and a few of our teachers traveled to Portland, Oregon to attend the PBIS conference.
Next week our K-3 students will take their final Dibels reading assessment. Parents please make sure the students are well rested and come on time to school. Next week we will also "Let The Adventure Begin" as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! Our staff will board Seahawk Airlines and be given "first class" treatment all week! The advisory school board meeting is on Thursday May 8, graduation is on Friday May 16, our final honor roll assembly is on Wednesday May 21, and the last day of school is on Thursday May 22.
