Taft Newsletter!

We have had a great week and have enjoyed having students back in the building! Please read through this month's newsletter for information about afterschool opportunities, school pictures, and important upcoming dates.

One item that was not included in our supply donation was headphones. It is important that ALL students have headphones to use when accessing digital devices for learning or testing. If you have not already, please be sure to send a pair of wired headphones to school (labeled with your child's name) next week.

Please see the information below to find out more about 'Fit Kids.' Through a partnership with the Boys and Girls Brigade, Taft students have the opportunity to be bussed from Taft to the Brigade to participate in this 5 week program!

The school day begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:00 pm.

Students who are taking breakfast will be able to enter the building beginning at 7:55 am and will eat breakfast in their classrooms.

Breakfast is available, free of charge for all students, in the classroom until 8:15 am.

Students arriving after 8:15 am are considered tardy and will need to check in at the school office before going to class.

Drop off and pick up have been running very smoothly! If you have multiple students you are picking up, please plan one designated location for you to meet. We like to suggest that older students meet any Kindergartners, first graders, or second graders at their pick-up doors.

Thank you for crossing your children safely and not parking in front of neighbor's driveways!

If your child will be taking any prescription medication while at school, consent forms need to be completed and signed by a physician before we can administer any prescription medication. The form you will need can be picked up at the Taft office or found online by clicking on the link below.

Nonprescription medications may also be administered at school if a medication consent form is filled out and signed by the child’s guardian.

ALL medications need to be brought to the office by the child’s parent or guardian. Medication consent forms can be obtained in theTaft School Office or by clicking on the link below.
