May Information for Families
We have made it to the last month of the school year! Students are currently taking their last round of NWEA and preparing for other end-of-year assessments. Please make sure that your student's chromebook is returning to school charged and ready each day.
We will host our incoming kindergarten parent meeting this evening in the Baker Cafeteria at 6 PM. This is an informal opportunity to meet our kindergarten teachers, receive information about kindergarten at Baker, and turn in any paperwork that needs to be submitted. This is also a great time to get any questions you may have answered! We are looking forward to meeting our incoming kindergarten students and families.
On Friday, we have Lemonade with Lions. As always, please be aware that the doors will not open until the advertised times of 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM. If your student is leaving school with an adult other than their guardian that afternoon, please make sure you send in a note or call in advance.
We will have many important dates in May and will send them out in various ways. The Baker Elementary School website calendar is available for frequent updates. As always, please reach out if you have additional questions about upcoming activities or dates.
Thank you.
Second Grade Goodbye Walk
A few years ago we started the tradition of having our second grade students parade through the hallways for one last celebratory walk before moving on to Willard. We'd like to invite parents and families of second grade students to line the hallways alongside staff and students for this send-off on Thursday, May 23 at 2:15 PM.
Please plan on arriving slightly before 2:15 p.m., as we will begin on time in order for parents to make it to the other buildings for their events.
While short in length, this is a very memorable milestone for students, and we invite you to celebrate one journey ending and another beginning. If you plan on taking your student with you after the walk, please sign them out with the teacher.
