Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! As our school district continues to grow and thrive, we are excited to embark on another year of learning, growth, and success with your children. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing a nurturing and challenging environment where every student can reach their full potential. This newsletter is packed with a lot of information including a recap of emails sent to parents for transportation and activity passes. Please follow the instructions to assure your child is off to a great start this school year. FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL
The first day of school is August 26, 2024 and we're excited to fill our schools with students and staff again!!
Dates to note for the first week of school:
Monday, August 26, 2024 - First Day of School, early dismissal
Wednesday, August 28, 2024 - Regular early dismissal
Monday, September 2, 2024 - No School for Labor Day
Tuesday, September 3, 2024 - First Day of Preschool
Breakfast is served in each attendance center when the doors open and until classes start. The bell schedules are at the button below and can be found on every CCA School Website.
SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION
Routing information is available for viewing in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
If you indicated your student needs school transportation during registration, the bus numbers and bus stops information for your student(s) is now posted in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. It is very important that you confirm the bus stop time and location prior to Monday, August 26 for the first day of school.
Instructions:
1. Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal
2. Go to the left menu and select "Other Information" to find transportation information.
Traffic delays are expected at or near our schools for the first few days of school so please be mindful and patient.

MEET SULLY
Introducing Sully, the new therapy dog at Clear Creek Elementary. Sully will be joining the staff and students at CCE with his handler, Lindsey Shaull. We appreciate the donations received from the CCE PTG, CCA Foundation, local businesses, and community members to make this happen. REGISTRATION FOR STUDENT ATHLETES GRADES 7-12
STUDENT ATHLETE REGISTRATION:
CCA is using a new student athlete registration system in Bound for grades 7-12. The step by step details to register are in the first link below. Please register as soon as possible.
ACTIVITY PASSES
ACTIVITY PASSES
Activity passes are used for entry to CCA home Middle School and High School events e.g. athletic events, musicals, plays, etc. CCA Activity passes do not work for any home postseason competitions where ticket sales are managed by the athletic associations.
Adult activity passes can be purchased on Bound. Bound and CCA have partnered to provide digital activity passes through the Bound mobile app. Families can download the Bound app through the Google Play or App store. Once registered, you can purchase the pass under "Tickets" in the app or from the Bound website. The digital pass is stored under "Tickets" and it will need to be displayed at entry for CCA hosted activities (excluding postseason athletics).
- Adult Yearly Annual Pass: $110.00
- Lifetime Pass: Free, must be a CCA resident who is 65 years or older of the district

FREE STUDENT ACTIVITY PASSES
Students in grades 6-12:
Student in grades 6-12 will automatically receive their 2024-25 Activity Passes during their first week of school either in their homeroom or CLT/Advisory hour.
Students in grades K-5: August 30, 2024 at Noon deadline.
If you have students in grades K-5, please fill out this form indicating you would like an activity pass for them. Passes will not automatically be assigned to students in grades K-5. The passes will be handed out in the student's homeroom. If you do not request any passes, the student(s) will not receive one.
CCA IS GOING CASHLESS
CCA TICKETING AND CONCESSIONS ARE CASHLESS
CCA will be utilizing cashless ticketing options for the upcoming 24-25 school year.
Adult Tickets: If you don't purchase an adult activity pass, you can pre-purchase individual tickets online ahead of time OR make use of the credit/debit card readers at the gate. To pre-purchase a ticket(s), click on “Ticketing” at the top of the Clear Creek Amana Bound public site: https://www.gobound.com/ia/schools/clearcreekamana
Student Tickets: CCA students in grades 6-12 receive a Free activity pass. Students in grades K-5 need to sign-up for a free activity pass by August 30, 2024 at noon or they will need to purchase tickets for CCA events.
Concessions: All concessions are cashless

Nick Pfeiffer Sworn In
CCA Band Program with Board of Education
The CCA School Board approved the District 3 board vacancy appointment for Nick Pfeiffer at the August 14 Special Board Meeting. Nick will be sworn in before the regular August 21st School Board Meeting.

The board approved the proposed revised 24-25 Instructional Calendar with the change to move graduation from May 23 to May 25, 2025 to avoid the conflict with State Track and Field.
The board began their book study on the Anxious Generation. The book study along with surveys to gather input about student cell phone use, will all be reviewed by the board in the next few months. Input will be gathered from parents, students, and staff regarding cell phones in early September. Building and district administration have given input on surveys including current practices from building administration.
Band team presented on the exciting growth and accomplishments for the CCA Band program. Their presentation, other board documents and minutes can be found on Simbli, the school board website.
INTRODUCING MIKE PARKER
Please welcome Mike Parker as the new Director of Development for the Clear Creek Amana Schools Foundation. The part time position is responsible for leading and strengthening a comprehensive fundraising program in support of the Foundation’s mission and goals. Specific emphasis is focused on annual giving, planned giving, grants and fundraising events. The Director will strive to build a greater understanding and support for both the Foundation and District’s mission, vision and goals.
