Yee-Haw!

It’s January, and at Little School, that means it’s time for Western Weeks! After the holiday season, we like to bring some extra fun to our students with exciting Western-themed activities. Your child's teacher will be sending out more details soon. If your child would like, they are welcome to dress in their Western gear from Monday, January 13th to January 24th!

Save the Date for LITTLE SCHOOL SUNDAY!
On February 2nd, Little School staff will be taking over the church services, and we’d love for you to join us in supporting our teachers and kicking off our 30 year anniversary celebration of Little School! Our teachers will be involved in greeting, speaking, reading scripture, serving donuts and drinks, and more. We invite you and your family to attend either the 9:30am or 11:00am service. Children are welcome to stay in the service with you, or you may choose to send them to Sunday School or the nursery. Sunday School and nursery care will be available at the 9:30am service.

If your child will be attending Sunday School, please be sure to sign them in ahead of time by emailing Sam or Sharon. This will save you time on Sunday morning. For nursery care and preschool Sunday School (infants and preschool-aged), please email sam@stlukeshr.com. For elementary and middle school-aged Sunday School, please email sharon@stlukeshr.com.

Wednesday/Thursday, January 22nd and 23rd: Campfire Sing Alongs-Your child's teacher will send details. Parents and siblings are welcome to join.

Happy New Year and welcome back, Little School families!

We are so proud of all the children for their beautiful performances during the Christmas programs—what a joy to see them sing so wonderfully. A big round of applause to all our Little Schoolers for their outstanding efforts!

To kick off 2025, we’ll be singing fun songs about winter, ice skating, and snowball fights. Of course, we’ll also celebrate our favorite Western Week with campfire sing-alongs and circle dances. Get ready to sing timeless classics like Home on the Range and She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain. We’re excited to invite you to join us for our campfire sing-along with all the children on either January 22nd and 23rd. We’ll wrap up the month with some exploration of instruments and handbells.

As a music team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the incredibly generous Christmas gifts from all of the Little School families. Your kindness truly touched us, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.

It is, as always, a true pleasure to have your children with us as they continue to explore and enjoy music each day.

Ms. Sam, with St. Luke's UMC Children's Ministry, will be setting up coffee, tea, and some toys for children, THIS FRIDAY at 9:00am. After dropping your child off on Friday morning, come to the front doors of the church, ring the doorbell, and head on into the Narthex (outside the sanctuary). Sam has some really great coffee offerings that will be available. This is a great opportunity to meet some new people who share children the same age, as well as catch up with the friends you have already made here at Little School (the narthex is warmer than the parking lot!). If your child does not have school on Friday, feel free to come anyway! Your children are welcome to join you.

Parent Night Out is offered on the first Friday of the month from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Parents choose one Friday out of the year to work and then benefit from 8 date nights! If you are interested in joining our Parent Night Out group contact sam@stlukeshr.com

PARENT'S MORNING OUT is offered the second Saturday of every month 9:00am-12:00pm. RSVP to sam@stlukeshr.com. Cost is $30 per family or $25 for one child.
