Mrs. Coger is a lifelong Alabamian where she attended White Plains School then New World Business College where she cultivated her desire to serve in the administrative assistant role.
Kay joined the JSU family in 2009 as the Administrative Assistant in Teacher Education Services where she assists our students with eligibility and completion of the Teacher Education Program. Prior to joining the JSU family, Kay worked in the wire and cable industry in various roles that included Executive Secretary and Inside Sales Associate.
Kay, and her husband Mark, have one son and daughter-in-law and are fourth generation farmers on her family’s farm in Iron City where they raise Charolais cattle, honey bees, backyard chickens (eggs!), and vegetables.
Kay enjoys entertaining family and friends with farm to table meals, canning their food, teaching canning classes, quilting, and annual trips to the mountains of North Carolina.
