Dear SVDP Community,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year – Our Centennial Year! We are excited to celebrate with all of you.

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer! We all need to start thinking about returning to school. The facilities crew, administration, and faculty are getting ready for the new year. We can't wait to welcome you and your students back on campus.

This newsletter will provide important information for your return to school.

To start, we are trying two things so “old school,” that they may seem new.

The first is a packet that will be mailed to your home address.

The packet includes:

• Directions for Online Registration & Family Emergency Report

• 2024-2025 School Calendar

• 2024-2025 Calendar of Events

• SVDP Community Handbook & Acknowledgement Signature Page

• SVDP Acceptable Use Policy

• ADSF Technology Responsible Use Policy

• 1:1 iPad Loan Agreement (grades 3 – 8)

• Chaperone Requirement signature page

Items appearing in bold text must be completed and submitted to the School Office prior to the first day of school: Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

The second “old school” offering is VIKING VOYAGE Days

Take advantage of our VIKING VOYAGE Days, so you and your students can sail into the new year with ease. Here is how it will work:

• VIKING VOYAGE days are August 26 – August 29, 9AM – 2PM.

• All families are invited.

• Grades K – 4 are invited to stop by pick up their free Centennial Spirit Shirt, get help with forms, and get answers to questions.

• Grades 5 – 8 are asked to make an appointment (SchoolSpeak/School/MS Pick Up). At this appointment, we will be accepting your signed tech forms and distributing your school owned devices. In addition, there will be assistance with forms, free Centennial Spirit Shirts, and answers to questions.

Can’t make it to SVDP during these times? Signed and completed forms may be dropped off at the front office. Beginning August 5, the office will be staffed from 9AM – 2PM, Monday - Friday.

Prior to the first day of school, Centennial Shirts and technology will only be available during VIKING VOYAGE Days. Students not participating will receive their items after the school year begins and may have to wait due to staff availability during that busy time.

Keep reading, there is lots of important information presented in this packet. Our goal is for everyone to return to SVDP fully prepared.

Click the button below and follow the instructions on SchoolSpeak. There is a three step registration process: profile update on SchoolSpeak, registration forms, print and sign the emergency report.

Facsimiles, scans, or photos will not be accepted. We must have a "wet signature" on file.

Return the emergency report - one per family on Viking Voyager Days - August 26-29 with other required signature pages or drop it off at the front office.

Office hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm.

Thank you for your participation in Vikings in Vegas, our seismic roofing work is complete. We will all return to a safer facility and can now break ground for the elevated sport court.
