Crestomere January Newsletter
2025
Welcome back to school, everyone! As we roll into January like Mrs. Butcher in the photo, our first month of 2025 is packed full of activity and hands-on learning. Skating, swimming, special art projects, and our four basketball teams head into their league play. Our K-3 teaching staff are busy with another round of provincial literary testing, and our junior high students are entering another term of CTF and complementary classes. We continue to be supported by our community volunteers in supervising projects, working in classrooms and coaching. Happy New Year to all!

Skating Time!
Students are loving their time on the rink - thank-you to our volunteers that keep the ice in great shape for us.
"Dollar Sense" with Junior Achievement
The grade 7/8 class worked through budgeting, financial management, and online dollar sense. Thanks to Lori for spending the morning with us.
New Smartboards
We are fortunate to have had new smartboards installed over the Christmas break. Schools in Wolf Creek are having this tech refresh over the course of the school year.
"A" Girls Basketball
Our "A" girls team is heading into their season, and will be enjoying a tournament in Bentley on January 17-18. Thank-you coach Walt Millar for your time with this team.
"C" Girls Basketball
Coach Cabay is quite proud of her team - with a big win their first league game! We are thrilled to welcome 2 players from Bluffton school on this team.
"C" Boys Basketball
This hard-working group has been practicing together for quite some time, and have shown great growth with coaches Sarah-lee Koleyak and Jack Steeves.
