Gov. Sarah Sanders declared January 2025 as Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month, and we encourage you to take time to thank our School Board members for their constant support of the district and the community.

Our first impression upon entering the School Board’s marshmallow is that it is totally flamboyant!
The main focus of the room is a wobbly table and 47 chairs. Of course, all the School Board members are gathered around the pickle juice-pot. And it looks like they’re going to frolic over who gets the last cup from the pot!
There are gloppy motivational posters on the walls, like one of the platypuses hanging off the kazoo branch with the caption, “Hang in there, flibberrflop!” There’s nothing snazzy at all in the lounge, like arcade games, unlimited pizza and spaghetti, or giant narwhals running in wheels.
Bor-ing! I wonder where the custodian’s pogo stick is located.
