Freedom High School will be a Pre Governors School
The Pre-Governor's School program at Freedom High School has been approved and we will begin in the 24-25 school year. Students will be able to apply as early as November 1st.
Information regarding the program and application details will be forthcoming.

Touchbase Conference 10/09/2023
On Monday, 10/09; we will be hosting our Touch base conferences from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to meet with your students teachers for a brief meeting. No appointment is needed.
Immediately following Touchbase, Teachers will be participating in division wide professional learning. No school for students

Code Orange: Virtual Learning Day For Students And Remote Work For Employees.

Virtual learning day for students and remote work for non-essential employees.
Live, virtual classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
School buildings and office buildings are closed.
Buses will not operate.
Students enrolled in PWCS K-8 Virtual Academy, Virtual Prince William, and Virtual Virginia should follow their normal schedule.
The School Age Child Care (SACC) program will not open.
All in-person school activities (day and evening) are canceled including field trips, team practices, club meetings, interscholastic contests, and athletic contests.
Remote (virtual) activities may occur.
All non-school activities (day and evening) are canceled including Adult Education, evening school classes, and community use, including recreational programs scheduled in school buildings.

FASFA Information Session
October 9: at 9:30 a.m. at Freedom High School
During Touchbase, we will have a FAFSA Info Session.
The FAFSA is changing for 2024! Going to college, trade or technical school next year? Meet with the financial aid experts to learn more about the new FAFSA and how it will affect your family. Parents and members of the Class of 2024 are highly encouraged to learn more about the financial aid process on October 9th at 9:30 a.m (during Touchbase). Families will be able to create their Federal Student Aid account and be prepared for the next step in the educational process.
Required Materials: Students should bring their school laptop!

October 12 at Freedom High School 6pm - 8pm and October 16 at Battlefield High School 6pm - 8pm
Over 100 colleges/universities and academies will be present to share information with students and families.
ALL FAMILIES, ALL STUDENTS, ALL GRADES ARE WELCOME!
Doors will open at 6:00 pm and there is NO COST to attend

Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15 -10/15) continues this month and our Freedom HS students are invited to attend a dance celebration on October 11; 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm in the Courtyard.
Tickets are $2.00
Students may purchase their tickets from their Spanish or Frech teacher.
