You amaze us! Our 4-H members continue to learn and grow with Polk County 4-H through club meetings, 4-H workshops, and creating projects to exhibit at county fair each year. CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO that shows just a bit of all the talent and skill of the youth of Polk County 4-H!

Gear up for a fun time at the 2024 Nebraska State Fair. Come and check out the Exhibit Hall where 4-H'ers from across the state showcase their talents, watch the livestock exhibitors at one of the livestock shows, or come and see the live contests! The learning doesn't stop at the county fair! There are so many opportunities for 4-H'ers to gain knowledge at the Nebraska State Fair.

The second annual 4-H Day at the Nebraska State Fair will be Sunday, August 25th. Any 4-H member can purchase discounted tickets on 4-H Day! Discounted tickets are limited to 4-H members.

DEADLINE - SATURDAY AUGUST 10th by 8 pm: All youth participating in a 4-H contests or exhibiting 4-H livestock must complete the entry process by August 10, at 8:00 p.m. CST. Please review all eligibility, entry limits, and instructions available for livestock exhibitors and contest participants at 4h.unl.edu/state-fair before entering. To begin the entry process, visit statefair.org/ag-competitions/4-h-ffa-exhibitors/.

AUGUST 5 - 16: All state fair exhibit hall (non-perishable) entries need to be dropped off in the Extension Office - exhibits must be dropped off in our office by 4 PM on Friday, August 16th.

AUGUST 19: DEADLINE FOR HORTICULTURE & FLORICULTURE EXHIBITORS - FILL OUT THE FORM THAT WAS EMAILED TO YOU

AUGUST 21: FOODS, HORTICULTURE, & FLORICULTURE exhibits will need to be dropped off in Extension office between 7:45 - 9:00 am.

**If you are traveling from out of town please call before you travel here so we can be sure we will not miss you!

Any State Fair Exhibitor is eligible to purchased discounted State Fair Tickets.

Any 4-H member who is exhibiting things in the Exhibit Hall at the Nebraska State Fair, will be emailed instructions about how to purchase the discounted tickets. All state fair livestock and contest exhibitors have the option to purchase a discount ticket as part of the entry process.

The 4-H Project Showcase is an opportunity for youth to show off their favorite project or maybe a project that didn’t go as planned. All projects are eligible regardless of the awards received through judging or even the ability to have it judged at the county level. Projects submitted by August 10 will be featured at the Nebraska State Fair. Learn more at 4h.unl.edu/project-showcase.
