Deer Meadow Parents & Community,

• No School Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.

• Picture day is September 13, 2024. Forms were sent home with students. If you need an additional form they are available in the office.
• Our Title 1 Family Meeting is Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:00 PM in the Deer Meadow cafeteria. All parents are welcome to attend! This will be a great time to connect with other parents and learn how to support your child's love of learning.

This week our School Counselor, Mrs. Gorham will be returning from maternity leave, and will be joining us full time! Mrs. Gorham will be teaching a special rotation called "Character Club!" The first week of Character Club your child will be learning all about the job of a School Counselor. For the remainder of the school year your child will be learning about character traits, emotional regulation, being a good friend, problem solving and many other lessons that will help your child succeed in school and life. I will be utilizing Second Step for the Character Club lessons. Please be on the lookout in future newsletters for links on what your child is learning in class - this will allow you to further the discussion of Character Club at home!
