Tentative August Events
- HMS will host a Husky Training Day for incoming 7th graders and new to HMS 8th graders on Friday, August 16th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. The purpose of this event is to assist students in their transition to middle school. Students will meet their 7th grade teachers, practice with their lockers, learn skills for success, and enjoy team building activities.
- HMS will also host an Open House on Monday, August 19th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. All students and parents are welcome to drop in during open house to pick up their schedules/locker information, tour the school, and meet the HMS staff. (Student registration must be completed to get your schedule at open house).
- The first day of school is Wednesday, August 21, 2024. School starts at 9:00 am. Doors open each morning at 8:30 am. The instructional day ends at 3:50 pm. Students will enter the school through the MPR in the morning and exit out the main front door after school each day.
- Track and Cross Country Running practices start the first day of school. Students must have their paperwork and fees turned in to be able to attend practice.
