Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT) Student Impact Awards
Every year our state gifted association recognizes three to four Colorado students from ages 7-18 who have made a positive, meaningful, and beneficial impact on others in their classroom, school and/or community. Recipients receive a Certificate of Excellence and a cash scholarship. This year two of the three awards were received by DCSD students!
Congratulations to Anirudh Rao, from STEM, and Amara Fantl, from VALE!
The annual Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT) conference was well-represented by DCSD!
We had 106 DCSD employees attend: teachers, administrators, mental health providers, specialists, and GT Facilitators! We appreciate all the DCSD staff who took time away from their work with children to attend and learn more about how to support advanced and gifted students!
DCSD staff presented 18 breakout sessions: 28 different people representing 19 different schools! We are so proud of the work our school teams are doing in their buildings and their willingness to share that work with the rest of the state!
We also had 2 students from 2 different high schools present at a session with the Colorado Gifted & Talented Student Board.
