Monthly Update-October 2019
Full Swing
This last month has been a whirlwind for many, but our students and staff have been working incredibly hard each day to get the most out of their learning experience thus far. I write this amidst the bustle of homecoming week, but it has been a lot of fun! Our student council has done a great job planning and organizing the events that lead up to the dance tomorrow night! Please review the dance expectations with your children prior to tomorrow night. They can be found on page 9 and 10 of the student handbook. We reviewed these today at school as well.
A theme for our staff this year has been to create learning opportunities for your child that will not be forgotten. We want to build peaks, not fill potholes throughout the course of the year. Part of this process is staying positive and finding the "good" in all situations. With everything that life/school can throw at us, it can become a challenge at times for this to happen. I am so thankful and blessed to work with such a great group of professionals here at SHS who truly put students FIRST.
Thanks again for all you do for your children! We will continue to strive for excellence at Solon High School in everything that we do. Enjoy your weekend, Zach
