Welcome Back to School 2020-2021

Dear Janson families,

Preparing for this upcoming school year has been different for me. As a parent of two beautiful teenage daughters, the spouse of an educator, and a product of the Rosemead School District, my number one priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Not only their physical and social-emotional well-being but also the experience of a high-quality academic and educational experience. I understand and empathize with the difficulties faced by our Janson families, parents, and educators when students are not physically present in school. There is no doubt these are challenging times; however, all staff members are stepping up to the challenge.


I am honored to be part of such a strong team of educators across the Rosemead School District. We continue to plan and work diligently to ensure we meet the needs of all of our students and families as we begin this coming school year via Distance Learning.


The purpose of this message is to provide you with some updates and important events that will be coming in the upcoming days.

Rosemead School District Distance Learning

A website designed specifically for our Rosemead students, staff and families to better understand our Distance Learning program. Please click on the image for direct access to the website.

Back To School Night will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 6:30-7:45. More detailed information will be provided in the upcoming days.

Classroom assignments, student supplies, textbooks and office hours.

On Monday, August 17, we ask that parents, please stop by the school site to pick up students' textbooks, supplies, and SSO account log-in credentials. Detailed information about this event will be shared on a separate cover. Students will be assigned their classroom teacher by mid-afternoon on Monday, August 17, 2020. Students will need to log on through the Single Sign-On (SSO) portal, which can be found here. Once logged on, they will check their email and will have received an invitation by their teacher to join their google classroom.


Office Hours: The school office will open on Thursday, August 13, 2020, from 7:00-4:00 and will remain open M-F. We ask that you please follow all social distancing protocols posted all over the campus and wear a face covering. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
