Lost and Found Out This Week

Be sure to check the garment rack at the front of the school this week for lost jackets and more. There are also water bottles. Any unclaimed articles of clothing will go to donations at the end of the week.

Introducing Mija Books

This week, our students get to go book shopping at the Book Fair during their designated library time. PTA is excited to bring a new Book Fair vendor, Mija Books, to Washington. Students can bring cash to purchase their own books or they can shop with an adult during the after-school hours.

We are looking for Book Fair volunteers during school and after-school hours. Sign up HERE.

2024-25 PTA Board Nominations

The nomination committee is forming the slate of board officers for the upcoming school year. Fill out the nomination form (for yourself or others) by Thursday, February 1.

An Ounce of Prevention, a workshop by Safely Ever After

The PTA is hosting a parent workshop with Pattie Fitzgerald, a child body safety expert. The workshop will be at Washington on Wednesday, February 7, at 8:30 am. Her 90-minute workshop covers ways to begin the personal safety dialogue with your children in a non-fearful manner. Please reserve a seat for the workshop for in-person, Zoom video link or recording.

College Financial Planning

RBUSD and Kinecta invite you to learn more about financial planning for your student's college.

Yearbook $ale$ Re$ult$

Jostens sends a percentage of our school yearbook sales back to the PTA. Last year’s (2022-23) yearbook sales yielded $6,981.85 in fundraising toward the PTA. Thank you for your purchases. 2023-24 yearbook sales will start in February.

Play Area Supervision Sign-Up

From Principal O’Grady: Thank you so much to the parents who have volunteered on campus. We have been having more conversations about how to update safety structures on campus. There is a noticeable difference in how our students are using the restrooms responsibly. You can sign up for one or more slots.
