MSM Celebrates the Class of 2024!
What a joy it was to celebrate MSM's graduating Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 18th!
As freshwomen, the Class of 2024 navigated a new world of masks, social distancing, and uncertainty, adapting along the way to the many challenges you faced. Despite these challenges, each of you emerged stronger, more adaptable, and profoundly aware of the value of our MSM community and the connections you made with your fellow Mounties.
The Class of 2024 possesses a unique blend of perseverance, grit, and optimism that you will take with you as you step into the future.
We are all so proud of you!
To our newly minted alumnae, we wish you much happiness and success in all your future endeavors!
Mounties Volunteer at Opening Night of Buffalo's Great Point Studios!
On Thursday, May 16, four of our MSM Academy Scholars Entrepreneurship students had the opportunity to volunteer at Buffalo's Great Point Studios opening night event! The studio is a state-of-the-art theater, television, and feature film complex located on Niagara Street.
Accompanied by Mr. O'Shei and Ms. Osborne, Mounties volunteered at the guest check-in table and also worked as media runners. Throughout the event, students hobnobbed with Hollywood-based writer, director, and producer Michael Mailer, as well as actor Stephen McKinley Henderson.
Our Mounties were also excited to connect with some local legends including Coach Lindy Ruff and Brian Duff of the Buffalo Sabres, former Congressman Brian Higgins, Mayor Byron Brown, Mindy Rich, Chairman of Rich Products, and Daniela Sapkar, Spokesperson for Great Point Studios.
It was truly a taste of Hollywood right in our own backyard!
Pictured below are Mountie volunteers: Ava Bowker,
Bailey Keppel, Jayla Mercurio, and Anna Gambino.

The band will be selling day passes to Darien Lake for the upcoming season as a fundraiser for $20 each. Contact Mr. Mark Flynn at mflynn@msmacademy.org or one of our band members if you are interested in purchasing passes.
Congratulations Mounties!
Help Support MSM's STEAM Classes With New or Gently Used Items
Attention MSM families! If you or anyone you know is tackling a spring cleaning project, please keep our STEAM classes in mind if you find any of the items listed below! Our STEAM classes will put these items to good use and your donations ensure that MSM's STEAM classroom remains a vibrant and well-equipped environment for learning.
We will gratefully accept donations of the following items:
- Knitting Supplies - Students will learn to knit and relate knitting to coding. Supplies required include old knitting needles, and balls of yarn (half used balls of yarn are perfect).
- Sewing Supplies - Students will engineer their own patterns and sew items for themselves and/or Barbie dolls. We need fun interesting fabrics, fat quarters, and thread. We would also greatly appreciate one or two unused sewing machines.
- LEGO - One of our goals for next year is to build a Rube Goldberg Machine out of LEGOS to enter the ECC Tech Wars Competition. We would be grateful for donations of old, unloved LEGOS sitting in basements; our STEAM students will put them to good use!
If you are able to donate, please send the items to school with your student. Thank you in advance for your continued support and dedication to our MSM STEAM programs!
