Monday will mark the last full week of instruction prior to our Semester Exams. It is a great time to review your student's academic progress on Schoology and to reach out to teachers with any questions.

Semester Exams will be held Tuesday (12/13) thru Friday (12/16) for all year long courses only. Find the complete Bell Schedule HERE.

Students are encouraged to take semester exams during their scheduled time. If your student needs to take Semester Exams at an alternate date due to travel, please send a signed note to the attendance office and they will be given a pre-planned absence form for completion.

To leave school after completing a period exam please have a parent signature on the Semester Exam Absence Form HERE. Return the signed form to the Attendance Office.

Semester Exams will be administered December 13 - 16, 2022.

When: Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 PM

Target Audience: 9th,10th &11th grade parents/students

Where: Dublin Coffman High School Performing Arts Centre (PAC)

Please join us for an evening with admissions representatives from The Ohio State University and Denison University. These experts will share their advice about how to approach the college selection process. Additionally, Dublin high school counselors will share information about specific resources offered through Dublin City Schools related to this topic.

DCHS is once again helping to build a primary school library in Malawi. Now through February 10, 2023, we will be accepting donations of gently used children’s books. Click HERE for details or contact Melanie Hitsman in the library.

Coffman’s Class of 2023 graduation is planned for Sunday, May 28, 2023 @ 1:30 PM at The Jerome Schottenstein Center on the OSU Campus. As of now, there is unlimited guest seating and no tickets are required. Additional senior event information will be shared in early 2023.

As the seasons change, we like to remind families of the many ways Dublin City Schools will notify you in the event we encounter inclement weather. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Winter Weather Procedures that can always be found on the District Website.

Picking up your student from school? Please use:

• Door #2, (stadium side) if they are leaving for an appointment or any reason other than illness.

• Door #8, by the main office, if they are ill and leaving through the clinic. This includes students who call and/or text parents that they are ill or not feeling well.

Attendance

Twilight School is an after-school program staffed by Coffman teachers that provides students with homework help. It will take place every Wednesday in the DCHS library from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm. Students do not need to remain at Twilight School the entire time and will have the freedom to leave early if needed. Transportation will be provided at 4:45 pm. If you have any questions please contact Jen Clark clark_jennifer@dublinschools.net. NOTE: There will be no Twilight School on Wednesday, December 14th or January 4th.

Parent Teacher Conferences have been rescheduled from 1/26/23 to Thursday, January 19, 2023 by appointment from 3:00 - 6:30 PM. Contact your students' teacher to schedule an appointment.

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. Syntero

Syntero is offering free 2-day virtual prevention workshops over winter break. These workshops will help students build developmentally-appropriate skills for navigating changes in routine and expectations, spending time with others, and coping with stress and the “winter blues.” Register here until December 12.

Fun Math Festival

Check out the Julia Robinson Math Festival this Saturday, December 3, 1-4 p.m. at the Ohio Union at Ohio State. Created for students in grades 5-10, the festival features tables with activities, puzzles, and problems to explore. Each table is led by mathematicians and math educators. It’s a fun, relaxing atmosphere where all are welcome! Students must register online here: tinyurl.com/jrmfohio2022
